Uisce Éireann crews repair Galway City burst

Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a major burst in Galway City and water is returning to customers affected.

The large burst on Bridge Street resulted in a supply disruption for customers on Bridge Street, Dominic Street, Nun’s Island and Presentation Road.

Crews worked throughout the day to repair the burst and the system is now recharging.

Uisce Éireann’s Leo O’Shea thanked customers for their patience while works were underway.

We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank our customers for their support while our crews worked quickly to restore their water supply.

“The repairs are now complete but typically it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a major burst in Galway City and restore water to customers affected.

Crews are on the ground and have minimised the outage area to Bridge Street, Dominic Street, Nun’s Island and Presentation Road.

Uisce Éireann’s Leo O’Shea has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.

Our crews have located the burst on Bridge Street. We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works are ongoing.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers as the system recharges.
