We're working to restore water supply in Ballyclogh North, Co. Cork

Homes and businesses in the affected areas may experience low water pressure, or intermittent disruptions to water supply.

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply to impacted customers as quickly as possible in Ballyclogh North and surrounding areas in County Cork, following operational issues at the water treatment plant due to increased turbidity. As a result, reservoirs are close to depletion.

Homes and businesses in the affected areas may experience low water pressure, or intermittent disruptions to water supply.
Expert water service crews have been dispatched and are carrying out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. Works are scheduled to take place until 7pm this evening.

Uisce Éireann’s Niall O’Riordan said: “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages can be and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.”

Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Updates are available on our Water Supply Updates section (COR00089695), on X @IWCare and via our customer care helpline, open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
