Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply to customers supplied by the Templetney Public Water Supply Scheme.
Experts crews have repaired one burst on the network and are working to locate and fix an additional leak.
The following areas are affected:
- Redmondstown
- Priorstown
- Caherclough Housing Estate
- Tikincor
- Newtownanner
- Killaloan
Repairs are expected to be completed by 6pm tomorrow, 1 January 2025, however it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned outage.
An alternative drinking water supply will be available in Redmondstown from 5pm this evening, Tuesday, 31 December. Anyone taking water from the tanker is advised to bring their own containers and to boil the water before use as a precaution.
Uisce Éireann’s Colin Cunningham assured customers that repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible. “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal supply to customers affected.”
