What are the benefits of this project?

The works carried out as part of this project will:

  • Establish a baseline of groundwater quality,
  • Provide long term monitoring of the groundwater quality,
  • Ensure the groundwater remains safe.

What is involved as part of this project?

The works are expected to be carried out during the month of June. Two boreholes will be installed side by side at 12 locations across Dublin.

Each borehole location will take approximately 1-2 working days to install. The installation of each borehole will take place in green areas, with minimal impact to traffic. We do not expect any disruption to the water supply during these works.
