Fosterstown Local Network Reinforcement Project

Uisce Éireann in partnership with Fingal County Council has completed a major upgrade to the wastewater infrastructure in Fosterstown, Swords to cater for the future growth and development of the wider Swords area.

 These works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's Growth and Development Programme. An approx. 450m section of the existing foul sewer network in Fosterstown was operating at capacity. The project objective was to upsize this section of gravity sewer to support future social and economic growth in the area.

The works were carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by GMC Utilities Group and were completed in Q2 2023.

Now complete, this wastewater upgrade provides the required capacity to support future growth and development, including the delivery of essential housing.
