Turnapin Wastewater Network Upgrade

Uisce Éireann is upgrading the wastewater network at Turnapin to support future growth and development in the Santry area.

The works involve the installation of over 380m of new sewer pipe and is part of a project to improve the capacity and operational performance of the existing sewers in the area.

The section of works is taking place at Turnapin Grove and Turnapin Lane, Dublin 17.

This project is being delivered to support existing and future developments within the community. It will improve the capacity of the existing wastewater network in the area, reducing demands on the current network.

The works are being carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by GMC Utilities Group Ltd. and are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

• Supporting social and economic development – This project will facilitate social and economic growth, including planned residential development.
• Improving the wastewater infrastructure to facilitate future demand – This project will upgrade the wastewater network, alleviating pressures on the network and increasing the capacity to deliver reliable, sustainable high-quality wastewater services.
• Improving operational performance – This project will improve the capacity of the existing sewers, improving performance and reducing the risk of sewer overflows during heavy rainfall events.

Localised lane closures, managed by traffic management personnel, will be in place along Turnapin Grove and Turnapin Lane to facilitate pipeline installation works.

Works will be carried out in rolling phases to minimise disruption, commencing at Turnapin Lane and progressing towards Turnapin Wastewater Pump Station. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and works crews will make every effort to minimise any disruption these necessary works cause.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Any planned changes to these working hours will be notified in advance.
